The Beach in front of the hotel

Sandown Beach is gently sloping and sandy. It offers safe bathing and great facilities.

Lake Beach

This is the area of beach between Sandown and Shanklin and like them, is both safe for bathing and sandy. It also has a level walk along the top of the sea wall.

Our Sea View

From our decking, you can sea Sandown Bay and the English Channel, you'll be able to look at the passing shipping and soak up the sunshine.

Pier Street at Sandown

Leading from the High Street to the Esplanade and Sandown Pier, with it's amusements, cafe and bar.

Dinosaur Isle

This interactive attraction is located just a short stroll along the sea front from our hotel.

Culver Cliff

Culver Cliff is positioned at the north end of Sandown Bay and can be seen from our hotel,

Freshwater Bay

Located at the western corner of the Island, Freshwater Bay inspired Lord Tennyson to write much of his work. He also made his home at Farringford.

Ventnor

Here you can see Ventnor Bay, a beautiful Victoria sea front with freat pubs, a boat haven and good beach.

Steephill Cove

Steephill Cove is one of the few UK coves reached only on foot.

Carisbrooke Castle

Now under the care and management of English Heritage, Carisbrooke Castle was where Kind Charles I was imprisioned.

Colwell Bay

A safe sandy beach located between The Needles and Yarmouth. It looks out across The Solent and Hurst Castle.

Headon Warren

Located above Alum Bay and looking out towards the Needles, Headon Warren has a blanket of heather and breathtaking views.

Sunset at Compton

The Isle of Wight is famed for its' stunning sunsets. This shot looks towards the Needles and Freshwater Bay from Compton Beach.

The Causeway

The Causeway is a great walk which runs along the former railway track which ran along the banks of the river Yar between Freshwater and Yarmouth.

Osborne House

Another building under the care of English Heritage, Osborne House is where Queen Victoria and Prince Albert made their home.

Hope Beach
